I can't find the place where one writes a title! Where is it? It has disappeared. Anyway, isn't it great how becoming a student always looking for a new and exciting way to procrastinate has led me to embrace again the art of blogging? In Japan, I had nothing else to do so I turned to blogging to relieve the boredom. But this past year, I did not feel comfortable blogging at the lawin' firm (but I somehow felt extremely comfortbale spending hours checking my email), and when I got home in the evenin, the last thing I wanted to was sit in front of a computer and try and come up with something witty to post. But here at school, my computer is constantly with me, and I am constantly trying to avoid reading. These two factors have led me to constantly think about posting.
In other news, here are a couple things I have learned this weekend:
-UO law students smoke a lot of pot. Maybe this shouldn't be such a surprise given the location of the UO law school (Eugene), but have always thought that lawyers are more into a higher class of more professional drugs. Like really expensive champagne and cocaine. And maybe pills too. I guess I realized this weekend that even though the Oregon State Bar already considers us to be professionals, in reality we are a bunch of poor students stuck in a town full of hippies and the fancy after work cocktail parties with our coked up colleagues won't begin for a few more years.
-12:30 pm is way too early for a football game, especially if you stayed out a little too late and drank a little too much the night before.
-Wedding Crashers: just as funny the second time.
-New favorite drink: madras.
-The gym: not open on the weekends for another week! I guess this is what happens when the entire campus is dead because your program is the only in the entire school that is not on a quarter system.
Ok, time to work. I think. At least time to look a the amount I have to read and decide if I can face now or might be better equipped to handle it after a few hours on the internet, or maybe a trip to the Gap. Sundays are rough.
